A coaching-linked career counsellor based in Sikar has also been arrested in connection with the case. Investigators suspect that the material may have originated from Kerala before reaching coaching hubs in Rajasthan.
The investigation has now extended to Kerala, where police are checking claims that the questions were shared inside WhatsApp groups prior to the exam.
Officials are also examining encrypted social media channels and digital communication records to determine whether an organized network distributed the questions before the examination date.
NTA Rejects Leak Claims, Calls Social Media Reports “Fake”
Despite the growing controversy, the National Testing Agency has denied officially confirming any NEET 2026 paper leak. The agency stated that the examination was conducted under strict security arrangements, including AI-based CCTV monitoring, biometric verification, and 5G jammers at examination centers.
The NTA has said that social media claims regarding the leak are “fake” and clarified that the matter remains under investigation. According to officials, no final conclusion can be drawn until police agencies complete their probe.
