According to passengers, the air-conditioning system stopped functioning while the aircraft remained grounded on the runway, causing discomfort and panic among travellers. Some passengers claimed that the aircraft doors remained closed during the delay, making the situation feel “suffocating.”

Passenger Pramod Sharma posted on social media that the Vadodara-Delhi flight was stranded after the ground pushback system reportedly developed a fault and no replacement equipment was immediately available at the airport.
He alleged that passengers were “getting worked up” due to the lack of ventilation inside the cabin.
Reports suggest that a Ground Power Unit (GPU) failure caused the issue. A GPU supplies external power to the aircraft before engine start and is responsible for running essential systems such as cabin lights and air-conditioning.
